Step 1. Fill Out the Application

You submit the application, we review it. If we’re interested in hearing more from you, we’ll reach out to schedule a first interview.

Step 2. First Interview

This is just a basic getting to know a little bit about you. If we like what we see and hear (we’re talking interpersonal skills here, not whether or not we like your hairstyle), we’ll schedule a second interview.

Step 3. Second Interview

We’ll take a deeper dive into your experience, skillset, career goals and aspirations, etc.

Step 2. First Interview

This is just a basic getting to know a little bit about you. If we like what we see and hear (we’re talking interpersonal skills here, not whether or not we like your hairstyle), we’ll schedule a second interview.

Step 4. Third/Final Interview + Job/Company Match

If you’ve made it this far, we’ll match you with one of our portfolio companies that we believe is the best fit for you, and connect you to interview with leadership of that company. That way you and the company can get a feel to see if it’s the right culture fit for you both. After the final interview, if the company feels it’s a fit, you’ll get notified within 24hrs with an official offer.

Why so many steps/interviews?

We pride ourselves on being extremely thorough in order to set the sales professional and the business up for success. It doesn’t do either party any good if we make a hasty hire, and you or the company feels it’s not a great fit shortly after you start in the role. We want it to be a perfect match, as I’m sure you do as well! That way our businesses have opportunity to scale and grow, and you are set up for success in your sales career with the company!

FAQs

What if I do not have phone or video conference sales experience?

We prefer every applicant to at least have some sales experience. Phone and video conference sales experience is preferred, however, if you have at least 1.5 years of sales experience in any capacity and believe that you have a natural tact for selling, submit your application. We'll be very honest if you're a fit or not.

If you just know you need more help improving your sales skills, we would suggest checking out something like the Sales League ARENA where we train six times a week doing high level sales training and implemented practice where you can get real-time feedback.  You’ll have access to a comprehensive library of all the training needed to learn how to increase your close rate and make more money.

What if I’m just getting started in sales, or really need to get better?

If you lack our required 1.5 years of prior sales experience, we would suggest joining the Sales League ARENA where we train six times a week doing high level sales training and implemented practice where you can get real-time feedback. You’ll have access to a comprehensive library of all the training needed to learn how to sell well, increase your close rate, and make more money.

Am I guaranteed a placement?

No. The companies that we partner with are highly vetted. Meaning we only want the best of the best working for our companies. We get hundreds of applicants every single day and not everyone is offered a position. But if you feel like you have what it takes, throw your name in the hat.

What if I don’t get a callback?

We reach out to everyone who has submitted an application regarding next steps. Whether that is scheduling an interview, or if after reviewing your application we don't believe that you're a good fit yet, we will absolutely let you know.

When will I hear if I got the job offer?

Our process is fairly simple. After you’ve submitted an application, we have a three- interview process. So after each interview, you will typically hear back within 24 hours regarding if you are moving to the next stage in the process, or if we've decided to make you an offer or move in a different direction.

What do I do if I’m told I’m not a good fit?

Not everyone is a good fit. In fact, more applicants will get turned away than offered a position. This is also one of the reasons that we have created The Sales League Arena inside of our community. We have over 150+ other business owners and sales professionals that network with one another.

So if you're not a fit for one of our portfolio companies, it's very high likelihood that someone in our community might find that you're a fit for one of theirs.

This is also why inside the ARENA, you can learn more about our training opportunity where if you haven't been picked yet, we give you a very low barrier entry option to increase your skill set.

So you can grow in skill and get to the place where you can join one of our highly vetted teams within our portfolio.

If I get the job, will I need to leave my current job immediately?

Typically after we've made an offer, we're flexible in terms of start time, but on average we prefer you to start no later than two weeks after we've made the initial offer.

Jake Grant

Jake Grant is a seasoned sales professional with over eight years of diverse experience in the industry. He began his career in cold calling within the insurance sector, where he successfully upsold clients who had previously worked with the company. This foundation in sales led Jake to start his own marketing agency, where he ran lead generation campaigns for three years.

Throughout his career, Jake has worn many hats, including SDR, appointment setter, closer, and back-end sales specialist. His expertise in these areas has been instrumental in generating significant revenue and improving sales processes. At his last consultancy, Jake played a key role in generating over $8 million in just three and a half years, ultimately managing the client success department.Jake's achievements include developing innovative strategies for appointment setting teams, making over 35,000 cold calls, and conducting approximately 2,400 sales calls. His largest month saw $490,000 generated in top-line revenue.

He has closed consulting packages ranging from $5,000 to $50,000 and designed systems that reduced the days to close from 250 to 150.He has spearheaded Facebook group marketing strategies and communicated effective marketing and sales strategies in online communities, achieving a 6x return on ad spend (ROAS). Additionally, Jake has designed back-end sales systems and scripts contributing to annual revenues exceeding eight figures. His coaching experience includes nearly 5,000 hours with businesses ranging from five to seven figures.
